SYNC: 21st Century Title Transactions

Communication. That’s our business. Whether you’re a buyer’s agent, listing agent, attorney, lender, buyer, or seller.

If you’ve been involved in a real estate transaction, you know that communication between all invested parties is the number one thing that determines a smooth, easy transaction versus a hair-pulling, frustration-fest.

That’s what we do. We’re the conductors of the transaction, like the conductor of an orchestra.

There are usually a lot of parties involved in a real estate transaction. As we’re busy calling municipalities, getting mortgage and judgment payoffs, getting a ‘clear-to-close’ from the lender, you don’t know what we’re up to day-to-day.

For many people, it can feel like their title company is working in a black box, hidden from sight. Do you know that feeling when you’re stopped dead in a traffic jam and have no idea what’s up ahead or when you’ll start moving? Yeah, that.

What if you had a helicopter, so you can soar above the traffic and you’d know what to expect on your time, not ours or anyone else’s.

Take a look at this:

What Is SYNC?

SYNC is an app/portal that keeps all relevant stakeholders in the transfer process on the same page – instantly. It’s like watching your title company work in a glass box.

Receive and access all of the title documents you need on every transaction in real time. Access them whenever you want.

Check the status of every transaction in real time.

Get notifications of status updates and new documents that come in and move towards settlement.

Upload documents that we may need. Communicate directly with us. Get fast response.

How To Access SYNC

Whether you’re an attorney, agent, buyer, seller, or any other party in the process, all you have to do is head to the PortalSync login page.

Logging In

If you already have an account and current transaction with us, you should have an e-mail address in our system. That’s your username. If you don’t, head here and click the blue register button to request one.

You’ll use that e-mail address and a four-digit phone authentication to complete registration (we take security and privacy seriously).

Now that you’ve got your login sorted, enter your e-mail and password to enter SYNC.

Transaction Overview

The first thing you’ll see is a folder view of your transactions, both current and closed (if applicable).

Clicking the “view by” drop-down menu will allow you to organize by buyer/borrower, seller, property address, or transaction name. Whatever floats your boat.

You can also swap to list view to see everything at once.

Now, let’s dig deeper.

Transaction Details

Clicking on a transaction folder will show you all the documents associated with the transaction. This is the good stuff.

Everything from your title commitment, wiring instructions, tax information, closing preparation, and more. Everything we create for you and everything you upload as well.

Speaking of which, you can upload directly to this secure portal instead of e-mailing your documents to us. When you click on the document, you’ll see notes, be able to add comments, and have the ability to download it.

Like the overview, you can sort your documents by type, labels, name, date, and even search by specific words.

From here you can also change your e-mail notification settings; these notifications include new documents, notes, or direct messages. This is on by default, and I recommend keeping it that way so you stay up-to-date, but you’ve got the option to silence them if it gets annoying.

Explore the system and find out what works best for you!

Real Estate Intelligence

We’re all about finding new and better ways to shape the real estate process. SYNC is just one of them.

Real Estate IQ is another progressive application that allows you to gain a valuable perspective using all that fluid market data. It’s like Google Maps for real estate, but way more specific and maps out how to find profitable real estate to buy, instead of when to turn left or get on the highway. Check it out!

We know that new systems take a lot of feedback to make great, so feel free to tell us what you like, what you don’t, and what else you need.
